About Classic Decor
I’m John Sheehy, and I own and run Classic Decor. I started my working life as an apprentice decorator, working for my father’s construction company.
I worked with some excellent decorators who taught me that if something is worth doing, it’s worth doing well. I started my own business, Classic Decor, in 1985 and within a year I was fortunate enough to have more work than I could handle. I began employing decorators who had previously trained me, so I’m confident about the quality of the people who work for me. Between us, we have more than 120 years of decorating experience.
For your assurance, we are fully insured and all of our tradespeople are Enhanced DBS Checked, and we are also members of important trade bodies:
Painting & Decorating Association
The Painting & Decorating Association is the largest national organisation in the UK exclusively for the needs of professional painters and decorators. As a member, we subscribe to and are bound by the terms of the PDA Code of Practice, which establishes standards for the conduct of, and the work undertaken by, members firms.
The objective of the Code of Practice is to raise the status of painting and decorating contractors, and to improve their trade relationship with private, commercial and industrial clients.

Dulux Select Decorators
All Dulux-approved and trustmark accredited decorators are experienced professionals whose abilities and skills are of the highest standards.
As such, all of our work on private residential properties is guaranteed for 24 months.
Repair Care Contractor
We have been trained by Repair Care to use their resin repair system, which is used to repair and restore damaged and rotten wood surfaces.
This product is also used and recommended by Heritage England.

We are a dust-free sanding company using latest dust extractors, mobile sanders for walls, ceilings, woodwork in your homes and offices.
We are also licenced to use scissor lifts, boom lifts and are IPAF CERTIFIED.
